Made up of Mary and Michele Nugent, Tom Kenna, Andrew Kennedy and Seamus Hayes, The Cedartowns are an exciting fusion of contemporary folk, blues and pop. Their original lyrics and meticulous arrangements weave seamlessly together to form a rich tapestry of sound, with the blood harmonies of the Nugent sisters a golden thread that runs throughout.
A popular band on the festival scene, The Cedartowns have brought their dynamic and beautiful song-writing to the likes of the Gravity, Clonmel Busking, Clonmel Applefest and Cashel Arts festivals. They have played to sell-out gigs at the Clonmel and Portlaw Folk Clubs, Bunmahon Geopark and in 2017, played support to Anuna at the Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre.
In 2018, the band released their debut EP Shelter, followed by single releases Appletown in 2019 and Cold Feet in 2021. They are currently working on their next EP due for release soon.
The Cedartowns' music is a breath-taking journey of emotive melodies, foot-stomping tunes and joyous harmonies that translate beautifully from intimate pub setting to the stage.
